We also use similar technologies such as local storage and session identifiers where necessary to operate the platform.

We use cookies for the following purposes:

• Strictly necessary: to enable core functionality such as authentication, security and load balancing.
• Functional: to remember preferences and improve your experience on return visits.
• Analytics: to understand how visitors use the registry so we can improve content and performance.

The exact cookies in use may change as we improve the platform. At present, cookies may include:

• Authentication session cookies set by our identity provider to keep you signed in securely.
• Security and routing cookies required for platform operation and abuse prevention.
• Analytics cookies that collect aggregated usage statistics.

Some cookies are placed by service providers that support hosting, authentication, analytics or embedded content. These providers process data according to their own privacy policies and our agreements with them.

We use PostHog, a product analytics provider, to understand how visitors navigate the registry so that we can improve it. PostHog stores identifiers in your browser to measure page views and feature use, and processes this data on our behalf under its own privacy policy.

We may also record session replays: anonymised reconstructions of on-page activity such as clicks, scrolling and navigation. Replays help us find where the registry is confusing or slow. Form fields are masked, so anything you type, including your name, email address and phone number, is not captured in a recording.

You can opt out of analytics and session replay by turning on the Do Not Track setting in your browser, or by blocking cookies and site data as described below.

When you first visit, we ask whether to enable analytics and session replay. Until you accept, these non-essential technologies stay switched off. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the platform, such as sign-in, from working correctly.
